Students will also read A Child Called It by Dave Pelzer outside of class.
We will work on writing skills in response to the literature as well as in response to persuasive writing prompts similar to those found on the PLAN that sophomores take in March and the ACT that juniors also take in March each year.
We will also work on increasing writing style through tools for sentence variety with a continued focus on parallelism and various types of phrases and clauses as well as rhetorical skills.
